Feed the Children dates & Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

Hi everyone,

Here's a quick recap of the upcoming events that we discussed at the meeting last night. Next Wednesday, instead of the meeting, we will be holding our Annual Retirement and Installation Banquet, where we honor the retiring officers and, fittingly, install the new ones.  A number of district (state-level) Circle K officers will also be in attendance.  If you want to go and have not already contacted us, please do so as soon as possible (i.e. tonight)!  It will be about $10 (or less) per person in order to cover the catering costs.

Also, we have some available dates for Feed the Children!  It's a really fun activity and assists a great cause.  Unfortunately, it is not common knowledge that 12 million children within the United States don't know where they will find their next meal.  Feed the Children is an attempt to alleviate some of this unnecessary hunger.  If you attend with us, you will help package emergency care packets full of essentials (some are completely nutritional, some hygienic, etc.).  It's assembly line style which actually turns out to be a lot of fun.  At the end of the session when you see piles and piles of packages, you'll know you made a difference!  Here are the dates that we have drivers available:

TOMORROW – Friday, April 9th, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM. (Let us know TONIGHT if you want to go so that we can plan drivers accordingly!)
Thursday, April 15th, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Friday, April 23rd, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Friday, April 30th, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (this is the day of Rutgersfest, so it may not end up happening; sign up for the others first!)

One last thing!  Next weekend, on April 17th, the Kiwanis Family Pancake Breakfast will take place in the morning, I believe around 9:00 AM.  If anyone is interested in attending let me know!  It's a fun event, you basically help make & eat pancakes.

Good luck with registration!

Sincerely,
Rachel Moseson
Circle K President
